Although you'll still be able to use Office 2007, we recommend upgrading to a newer version of Office so you can stay up to date with all the latest features, patches, and security updates.
You can run your Office 2007 programs up to 25 times before you're required to enter a Product Key. After this grace period, if you haven't entered a valid Product Key, the software goes into Reduced Functionality mode and many features are unavailable.
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 2 (SP2) gives customers the latest updates to the Office Compatibility Pack for the Microsoft Office Word 2007 file format, for the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 file format, and for the Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 file format.
Repair broken Office app installations.If a Microsoft 365 application such as Word or Excel isn't working correctly, sometimes restarting it will fix the problem. If that doesn't work, you can try repairing it. When you're done, you might need to restart your computer.
Templates provide content that shows up in Building Block galleries in Word 2007. When you save a template in Word 97-2003 format, the content from the Building Block galleries will be permanently converted to static AutoText entries.
