Q:
how to get there on public transport
A:
Any bus 7 or 8. It is equidistant from middle road and south beach road. I suggest south road as Henry 8ths pub is at end of road for refreshments or food.
Q:
how many "pit" stops are there on the way up??
A:
Hi! Very few! We went on a humid, rainy day and the trek up was a little worse then it would have been if nice weather. I believe they have on-site restrooms however. Hope this helps.
Q:
I understood, that the Lighthouse was closed due to repairs /maintenance .?
A:
It's open, although I understand there's talk of more extensive repairs in the future.
