We enjoyed this park. As others have mentioned the parking is lacking here. We went on a week day morning and it was almost full. We enjoyed the park but their rules seemed quite strict. They don’t w…Full review by DiverM

Took a short hike around the spillway. Free, flat, paved or wood chips. Some historical markers. Mostly shaded, a nice placeFull review by billmN5292MM
I was hiking here the other day for about 3 hours, and it looked like a great place to do some trail running; however, there are signs every where saying not to run. Does anyone actually enforce this or care? I don’t see how running is any different than hiking.

It is probably for the wildlife. It is a calm area and a great place for wildlife viewing. Running would startle the animals.

Our little one is very active and has been hiking with us since she was 2 so even if there is a shorter moderate hike that we can do in 2 hours we are open to it! :)

I'm not 100% sure, you might be able to do the lake trail in 2 hours or less.

The. trails aren't really. There is a paved not quite throughway, mostly for rangers use (and people with handicapped plates)... and there is the spillway, which isn't a "road," but the ground is hard enough a wheelchair could traverse it. The spillway leads to a small house, a little bit of seating on the edge of the lake and a bridge over the falls. Those things seem pretty accessible (the house has stairs up to its porch). The other paths are covered with chipped wood, in some places gravel and where there is less traffic, dirt that's firm from being traversed.
