Walked starting at the concord rd entrance/parking and walked towards Smyrna ga. Will remember this for future trips since we are big Braves baseball fans. Just watch out for bicyclists.Full review by ktlpigg

This is a Hall of fame trail! The trail is one of the safest trails I have been on. When we traveled it we saw trail cameras , they have police running around in little cars , they also have a unit …Full review by Quantrell6195

We stayed at the Carter Farmhouse in Hightower Falls (between Rockmart and Cedartown) for 2 nights during our ride. It's 7 miles off the Comet Trail, which took us through some beautiful rural communities. It's an ideal location to stay if you want to do three days of 40-mile rides: Smyrna-Carter Farm; Farm to GA-AL border and back; Farm-Smyrna.

I would like to bring a small group and do a two day ride from Smyrna to Anniston, 1. Is there a place in Smyrna we can park our cars overnight? 2. Is there a shuttle that can pick us up in Anniston and bring us and our bikes back to Smyrna on the second day of our ride? Thanks

I'm trying to find a way to the get me and my bike to the Silver Comet Trail entrance in Smyrna. As I understand it, I cannot leave my car in a trail parking lot overnight. Is there a local parking lot where I can leave my car overnight? Or is there another way to transport me and my bike to the trail entrance without my car (Uber doesn't seem to have enough cars in their Uber Pedal program to provide an always-available service)?
A:
There is a Silver Comet connector trail along sidewalks - we stayed at Fairfield Inn Smyrna, arranged to leave car there and rode about 4 miles to trail head.

It's at the Mavel Road Trailhead. Google doesn't have a street address, but this works on Google Maps: Mavell Road Trailhead, and it shows the address as Mavell Rd, Smyrna, GA 30082 You can find a write up on Mile 0 to Mile 20 on my blog site, in the Georgia Small Plates section.
