This was our first visit to Wakehurst. Generally it was pretty good; the weather held and there was even a bit of sun (though it was cold). We started with a coffee in the visitor centre; I had a blu…Full review by Jane G

My understanding is that only the Kew/Wakehurst membership cards open the barrier. Otherwise you get a timed entry card at the carpark barrier and pay in reception whenever you leave. If you pay for entry to the gardens then you don't have to pay the carpark fee; only NT members who get into the gardens free have to pay carpark charges dependent on how long they stay.

Hi, I do apologise for our delayed response and that we did not provide you more information before your visit. Thank you for visiting Wakehurst and it's great news to hear you had chosen to visit for Glow Wild for a third year. The event did go ahead and we have a serious weather assessment procedure in place. They deemed the event safe to run for visitors. Did you still manage to attend? My apologies again for the delay and if we can be of any further help do let us know
Hi, how long should we allow for the glow wild walk. I’m planning to book a table nearby afterwards but not sure for what time as I’ve not been before, any help appreciated.

They recommend about an hour. Will depend hugely on how crowded it is and the age of your children. You can also spend time in the courtyard after the walk - there are crafts in the main house and stalls selling mulled wine and marshmallows.
