Arsenal kicked off pre-season with a dominant 1–0 victory over Milan in Singapore courtesy of Bukayo Saka’s second-half strike.

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal’s defensive duo Gabriel and Jurrien Timber are set to return to action soon. Both missed the Gunners’ 1-0 pre-season win over AC Milan in Singapore. Gabriel was sidelined for the end of last season after undergoing hamstring surgery.

However, Arsenal dumped their Italian counterparts out of Europe in both 2008 and 2018; the former year saw them become the first English team to ever defeat Milan at San Siro, as Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor struck in a 2-0 last-16 second-leg win.

Arsenal will meet AC Milan on Wednesday for their first match of the preseason tour that will kick off at the National Stadium in Singapore. Both teams are going through big changes this summer as the team coached by Mikel Arteta already signed Kepa Arrizabalaga,
