Residents in the area of Kramer Drive are still not able to return to their homes Monday morning after a gas leak and house explosion Sunday afternoon.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) - A home has been destroyed by an explosion in Clarksburg. Witnesses told 5 News that, without warning, an explosion levelled the home and shook much of the surrounding neighborhood. It is not yet clear if anyone was injured in the blast.

In the aftermath of the weekend house explosion in, 12 News spoke with a next-door neighbor who recounted her experience leading up to it.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The man injured in a house explosion in Clarksburg has died. The victim was being treated for life-threatening injuries at United Hospital Center. The explosion occurred Sunday afternoon at around 3:30 at a house on Kramer Street in the Chestnut Hills neighborhood.
