Residents across New Jersey will face a challenging weather day, as an Extreme Heat Warning takes effect alongside a developing threat of severe thunderstorms. The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Mount Holly has issued alerts underscoring the potential for dangerous conditions throughout Friday.

The National Weather Service released an updated extreme heat warning at 12:53 p.m. on Friday in effect until 9 p.m. for Eastern Montgomery and Lower Bucks as well as Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
