Apple Inc. has signed an agreement with Indonesia to invest in the country, paving the way for sales of the iPhone 16 to resume in Southeast Asia’s largest nation.

Apple will soon be able to sell its iPhone 16 phones in Indonesia after the two sides agreed on a number of deals, including a manufacturing plant and a research and development centre, the industry minister said on Wednesday.

Sources in Indonesia say the government is about to settle its dispute with Apple, and could lift its iPhone 16 sales ban within the week.
