Iowa State Cyclones football will lose its assistant head coach as Tyler Roehl is joining the Detroit Lions' coaching staff.

According to a report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, the Detroit Lions are expected to hire Iowa State assistant head coach and running backs coach Tyler Roehl as an offensive assistant coach.

The Detroit Lions continue to build out their coaching staff as they replace a great deal of guys lost to promotions. This time they’ll reportedly add Iowa State Assistant Head Coach Tyler Roehl to the staff as an offensive assistant.

The Detroit Lions are hiring Tyler Roehl as an offensive coach who spent 10 years with North Dakota State and won seven championships.
