Manchester City have started to formulate a back-up plan if no one buys Jack Grealish after their asking price for the attacking midfielder was revealed.

Grealish’s status at City became clear towards the end of the season after he was left on the bench for the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final, with Guardiola sending on 19-year-old Claudio Echeverri for his debut in the second half instead of the club’s £100m signing.
