Liverpool have no Florian Wirtz alternative

Liverpool are paying a clear £100m up front to land Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz. The Germany international joins the Reds for a British record fee, with the final terms settled at £116m. The £16m in bonuses is dependent on appearances and success, including the Premier League and Champions League titles.
As well as Wirtz’s expected departure, Leverkusen lost head coach Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid and wing-back Jeremie Frimpong to Liverpool. Former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has replaced Alonso, with Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken already joining ahead of next season.
