Donald Bruce Jr. of Salisbury took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket on Saturday and won a $268,966 jackpot. Bruce bought his lucky ticket from the Quality Mart on Perch Road in Pinnacle. His ticket matched all five numbers in the drawing to win the jackpot.
Hartford and Canterbury residents claimed winning Connecticut Lottery jackpots from "Lotto!" and Fast Play $10 Stacks of Ca$h Progressive tickets.

March 31 (UPI) -- The Florida Lottery said a trip to the gas station ended up earning a Hialeah woman a $5 million jackpot. Lottery officials said Nubia Fagot, 62, made a stop at the Beacon Service Station on Northwest 12th Street in Doral and selected a $5,000,000 Crossword Cash scratch-off ticket.
The winning numbers are 1 – 7 – 12 – 15 – 16 – 38. The second prize, a $94,890 Fast Play – $10 STACKS OF CA$H PROGRESSIVE jackpot, was drawn Saturday, March 29 at Better Valu Supermarkets in Canterbury, CT, according to the CT Lottery. Both winners have until late September to claim their prizes.
A California man scored a lottery jackpot after heeding his wife’s suggestion. The long-time lottery player “was out and about when he asked his wife if he should get anything at the store,” California Lottery officials said in an April 2 news release.
