Twenty-one years after the original film, 'The Passion of the Christ' is getting an official sequel from controversial director, Mel Gibson.

Mel Gibson’s long-awaited sequel to The Passion of the Christ, entitled The Resurrection of the Christ, has a release date, The post Mel Gibson Releasing Resurrection of the Christ Part One and Two in 2027 appeared first on MovieMaker Magazine.

On May 15 it was announced that Lionsgate had been chosen as the studio partnering with Gibson’s Icon Productions on the upcoming film.
