Former Samford defensive back Christian Matthew has signed with the Dallas Cowboys, the NFL team announced on Tuesday. Matthew did not play in 2024. He spent the entire season on the Baltimore Ravens’ injured-reserve list because of an undisclosed injury and had been a free agent since March 12.
Cowboys are signing former Ravens cornerback Christian Matthew, per Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. From Valdosta State, Matthew was selected in the seventh-round of the 2022 draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He appeared in 20 games his first two seasons (14 as a rookie), but spent last season on injured reserve with the Ravens.
