Penn State football has three seniors on the Maxwell Award watch list for the 2025-26 season. Penn State says senior quarterback Drew Allar and its fearsome running back duo of Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton were tabbed for the Maxwell Award Watch List on Monday.

Three Penn State seniors were named Monday to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, presented to the nation’s outstanding college football player. Quarterback Drew Allar and running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen are among the 80 players recognized. Penn State is the only team with three players on the list.

The Maxwell Award has been presented to the College Player of the Year since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert “Tiny” Maxwell who was a former standout at the Swarthmore College and a renowned sportswriter and football official.
