UNC guard Drake Powell has declared for the NBA draft after one season with the Tar Heels. Powell made the announcement on his Instagram Wednesday. He also told other outlets the news, including ESPN's Jonathan Givony and On3's Joe Tipton. Powell ranks 38th overall on the latest Bleacher Report big board from Jonathan Wasserman.

Drake Powell averaged 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists on 37.9% shooting from 3-point range in 37 games this past season.

Powell, a 6-6 wing and a former 5-star recruit at Pittsboro’s Northwood High, started 24 games as a freshman for the Tar Heels last season.
