The rain arrived in the area early Friday morning and it could be sticking around for the rest of the weekend.
The National Hurricane Center is now tracking four tropical waves with the development of a new one in the Caribbean.
Clouds are around this morning, but sunshine takes over this afternoon and temperatures will hold in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Rain showers will remain to the south. Saturday will start off dry with temperatures in the middle 60s.
Nearly 4 inches of rain fell in the Chassell area earlier this week, causing flash floods that washed out roads.

Trees and power lines came down in parts of the area. Damage was reported in Bolingbrook, Naperville, and other communities to the west and southwest.
More rain is expected Friday and Saturday as a system continues to move west-northwest on the north-central Gulf as of Friday morning.
Today will be mostly cloudy with showers/storms developing, rain may be heavy at times with highs only in the upper 80s to near 90.
Expect a rainy, hot day ahead as the low-pressure system that brought rain across North Florida moves up the Gulf Coast.
