Kamaru Usman gave an honest assessment of Tatiana Suarez ’s loss at UFC 312. Suarez (11-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) was battered in a unanimous decision loss to strawweight champion Zhang Weili this past Saturday in the UFC 312 co-main event at Qudos Bank Center in Sydney.

Tatiana Suarez had to be sewn back up extensively following her first UFC title fight. The Ultimate Fighter 23 winner failed to add strawweight champion next to her accolades, pitted against the talented Zhang Weili in the co-main event of UFC 312.

Zhang (26-3), a two-time champion, left the previously unbeaten Tatiana Suarez (11-1) bloodied and badly bruised following five rounds of dominant takedown defense and powerful striking. The 35-year-old Zhang, the first Chinese-born champion in UFC history, took home judges' scores of 49-46 (twice) and 49-45.
