Bay Area-based autonomous driving technology company Waymo is about to become a whole lot more prevalent around Los Angeles. Starting today, Waymo has moved out of its Southern California beta-testing phase, nixing its waitlist for wide-open ride-hailing.

Waymo One, the driverless ride-hailing app, is now fully available to much of greater Los Angeles after the robotaxi service previously started offering rides in LA to a limited number of people on a waiting list.

Of course, Waymo is now in direct competition with human-powered transportation services like Uber and Lyft, both of which operate without any pesky geographic restrictions. Those services are often cheaper than Waymo’s vehicles, and customers can expect shorter wait times for rides.
