We hear from singer Agalisiga Mackey, whose song "Tsitsutsa Tsigesv" was a standout submission to this year's Tiny Desk Contest.

Wow, because that song is the number one gospel song on the Billboard charts. Not bad for a girl who grew up in central Ohio, and this “sanging” soul is a product of Columbus City Schools.

The album, which will feature original songs from multiple genres, was birthed with the intent of preserving the Cherokee language.
