Madison, WI - After suffering its second-most lopsided postseason defeat on home ice in program history, Wisconsin men's hockey slid down the rankings in the national polls. As the Wisconsin Badgers await their NCAA Tournament fate on Sunday, voters see UW in a slightly worse light than they did a week ago.

The Buckeyes continued to be a problem for the Spartans while earning a measure of revenge. They lost at Michigan State in double overtime in last year’s Big Ten Tournament title game before a 5-1 win in East Lansing on Feb. 27 followed by a shootout loss the following night.

The Spartans were upset by Ohio State in the conference tournament semifinal.

Entering the tournament ranked No. 5 in the nation, the Friars will learn their NCAA Tournament fate on March 22
