South Korea's Hyundai Engineering & Construction won backing from Bulgaria's parliament on Friday to proceed with talks on building two nuclear reactors, beating out a bid from U.S. firm Bechtel.

A report in the Korean Herald says that Hyundai Motor is planning to build an automotive parts manufacturing plant in Bulgaria. The final decision is due to be made before the end of the year.
