New Jersey GOP leader Kenny Gonzalez criticized the Democratic Party for sowing “chaos" across the country that he said emboldens criminal illegals and violent rioters.

Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver was indicted Tuesday on federal charges alleging she impeded and interfered with immigration officers outside a New Jersey detention center while Newark’s mayor was being arrested after he tried to join a congressional oversight visit at the facility.

Three LA-area members of Congress were locked out of the ICE Processing Center near Victorville, blocking attempts to oversee those arrested during ICE raids.

The indictment charges McIver with "forcibly impeding and interfering with federal law enforcement officers," New Jersey U.S. Attorney Alina Habba said.

Rep. Jimmy Gomez said the lawmakers were “exercising our congressional authority to investigate” the treatment of those at the facility.
