Mesa did not ask mobile-home owners or park managers for help in creating a proposed housing master plan, which calls for ridding the city of 2,500 older mobile homes.

California-based Connect Homes, which pre-fabricates modular homes, announced it is opening its second factory in Mesa in early 2024.
