All four serve a traditional Hawaiian luau menu augmented with familiar mainland dishes. All four include a Polynesian revue of song and dance. But they are not at all alike.

Tahitian dancing is mostly fast shaking, she said, and is from the island of Tahiti. Tahitians also have slow dances as well, which look like the Hula, the Hawaiian dance.

It’s also opened new doors for Henriques, who has won Tahitian dance competitions and got several part-time jobs dancing at luau. "I think I’ve become a better dancer with Tahitian," she said.

It’s the club’s 27th annual Polynesian Festival, featuring music, dance troupes, vendors, prize drawings and a collection of woody surf cars. Hawaiian plate lunches will be available for purchase.
