The Cincinnati Bengals were not one of the lucky teams to be awarded 2025 NFL draft compensatory picks early this week. Those Bengals were too active in free agency to earn picks, as the formula weighs talent lost to other teams on the market vs. talent signed.

As expected, the Cincinnati Bengals won’t get any extra picks for the 2025 NFL Draft, at least not from the NFL. On Tuesday, the league announced compensatory picks for this year’s draft. The Bengals were among the teams who did not receive a pick.

More cuts are expected in the next week as the Bengals prepare for free agency to start. Cincinnati’s front office can start talking to players who are scheduled to become free agents on March 10 at noon ET until March 12 at 4 p.m. ET when the new league year begins.

The Cincinnati Bengals have taken an extreme risk in NFL free agency so far by...doing very little. Now, the question becomes whether the Bengals can salvage the start to the offseason in what is generally considered one of the most important stretches in franchise history before the 2025 season.
