Passengers travelling via Bristol Airport are being advised to contact their airlines before flying due to possible disruptions caused by Storm Éowyn.

Two planes have been damaged during Storm Eowyn at Teesside International Airport. Pictures of the aircraft show extensive damage from the extreme winds which have battered the region today. The planes were secured and they were not in use when they sustained damage.

Airports have been disrupted by strong winds sweeping through the East of England as a result of Storm Éowyn. A yellow weather warning from the Met Office for wind speeds of up to 50mph (80km/h) was in place for between 05:00 and 15:00 GMT.

One in five flights from airports in the UK and Ireland was cancelled on Friday as Storm Eowyn caused disruption at several major airports.
