The number of Pro Football Hall of Fame members who played at Alabama high schools and colleges will remain at 16 as cornerback Eric Allen, defensive end Jared Allen, tight end Antonio Gates and wide receiver Sterling Sharpe enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Eric Allen is headed to Canton with a speech more than two decades in the making. The Eagles cornerback waited 24 years to be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he will be Saturday with a statement that’s been trimmed and rehearsed accordingly the last few weeks.

Defensive end Jared Allen, wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, cornerback Eric Allen, and tight end Antonio Gates will be enshrined to the Pro Football Hall of Fame this week. The Hall of Fame honors were a long time coming for both Sharpe and Eric Allen, while Gates and Jared Allen didn't have to wait as long.
