U.S. Open Golf Championship begins Thursday at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania in what will be a historic 125th edition of the major championship.

The 125th U.S. Open is taking place this week outside of Pittsburgh at Oakmont Country Club, and after a dry, hot start, shower and storm chances will increase for the weekend. Oakmont Country Club is hosting the tournament for a record 10th time this year, with the last one in 2016 when Dustin Johnson won.

The second round of the U.S. Open was delayed after more than an hour of rain as thunderstorms entered the area. Here's all the latest on when the USGA thinks play will resume and what it means for the rest of the tournament at Oakmont.
