Kelly Clarkson has cancelled a performance at the Band Together Texas benefit concert in the wake of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's death.

Brandon Blackstock's "soulmate" Brittney Marie Jones, identified in Blackstock's obituary as his "loving partner in life and business," previously worked as Kelly Clarkson's production assistant.

Just hours before news broke about Blackstock's death, The Kelly Clarkson Show host took to Instagram to announce the cancelation of remaining August concert dates for her Las Vegas residency because her "children's father has been ill" and she needed to "be fully present for them."
