The pop superstar brought an expanded version of her Coachella spectacular to Inglewood on Monday night for the first of four shows.

Lady Gaga’s Coachella production this year was one from the ages. On the first of four nights of the Mayhem Ball Tour she proved her arena version is just as good if not better.

Thematically, the Mayhem Ball tour followed the same through line as Coachella and the one-off Mayhem shows in Mexico City, Rio De Janeiro and Singapore earlier this year: It captures Gaga's internal strife of lightness (an angelic, innocent Gaga with blonde hair and curls) facing off with her darkness (dark reds and vampy, gothic energy).
