Star Weekend has brought a lot of fans to the Bay Area. Hours before NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, NBA fans stopped by Thrive City to take a look. All eyes were on the San Francisco as it was the Bay Area’s chance to shine.

For the first time, the All-Star Game (7 p.m. Sunday, TNT) will feature a four-team tournament. Three teams will consist of players selected as All-Stars, while the fourth team will be the winner of the Rising Stars' own mini-tournament.

That number is a 13 percent decrease on the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, which drew 5.398 million viewers. And the numbers get even worse than that. It was the second-least-watched game in the event’s history, according to Front Office Sports, barely beating out the 2023 game, which had about 4.6 million people watching.
