Authorities have confirmed the recovery of the body of a man who went missing following a hit-and-run incident in Rockdale County.

The victim's mother told authorities that her son suffered from a traumatic brain injury from a previous accident.

The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office said Shaquel Liburd was recovered in the creek near Brook Rose Lane on Sunday. They said he had wrecked his car a little after 6:30 p.m. and then left the scene.

Two men are missing in Rockdale County and local law enforcement is asking for the public's help in finding them.
