CBSE now permits students with Basic Mathematics in Class 10 to opt for Standard Mathematics in Class 11 for the 2025-26 session. This continues a relaxation started during COVID-19.

However, the board gave exemption and allowed Basic Mathematics students to study Math in Class 11 because of the COVID 19 pandemic and other issues.
