CME market outage blamed on human error at CyrusOne data center
A human error at CyrusOne’s data center caused CME’s trading systems to overheat and shut down for over 10 hours.
Onsite staff and contractors at the facility in Aurora, Illinois, failed to follow standard procedures for draining cooling towers ahead of freezing temperatures, the ownership said.
