The plan to revitalize Piedmont Park includes a natural amphitheater, a Lake Clara Meer makeover and making sure the park is more accessible to Atlanta Beltline users.

A 14-acre green space will cover three-quarters of a mile of the Downtown Connector between Ted Turner Drive and Piedmont Avenue.

The new and improved Midtown Water Park is poised to open for the summer on May 24.
