Russia has attacked the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine for a second consecutive night, injuring three people, sparking fires at industrial buildings and damaging two kindergartens, Ukrainian officials said early on Monday.

Kharkiv region. A Russian drone attack on the northeastern city of Kharkiv in the early hours of March 30 killed two civilians and wounded 35 others. Five children were among the wounded as Iranian-design Shahed drones struck residential areas and a hospital in Ukraine’s second largest city, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.

Regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said a 67-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman were killed in the attack on Ukraine’s second-largest city. Ukraine’s General Staff denounced the “deliberate, targeted shelling” of the military hospital. Among the casualties were “servicemen who were undergoing treatment,” it said.
