The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Atlanta Hawks 100-92 at Target Center on Monday, but their head coach Chris Finch was fuming after the game. The Hawks were missing several key players for this clash but nearly staged an improbable comeback and Finch blasted his Timberwolves players in his press conference.

At issue was a brutal second half in which the Timberwolves were outscored 49-40 by the zombie Hawks, who were missing Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels and Bogdan Bogdanović. The Wolves still needed to play Rudy Gobert 38 minutes, Anthony Edwards 35 and Mike Conley 31 to ensure they finished off the Hawks.

Minnesota didn’t carry over any momentum from its masterpiece Saturday against Denver. The Wolves weren’t sharp nor effective in their 100-92 win over the depleted Atlanta Hawks. So, while it was Minnesota’s third straight victory, it was far from inspiring.
