The City of Southport has announced the creation of a specialty license plate that will be uniquely Southport-themed.

Southport Animal Protective Services Officer along with police were called to the scene to deal with the alligator that was “in distress” in the Brunswick County town.

Aldermen for the City of Southport had a second meeting late last week to talk about future plans for the old Brunswick County Courthouse and City Hall.
