Island Roads has closed Collingwood Road in Shanklin town centre, amid heavy and persistent rainfall on the Isle of Wight today (Thursday, September 5).

A flood alert has been issued for the Isle of Wight's coast this morning (Thursday). From 10.30am, the Environment Agency is warning of a higher than normal tide due to unsettled weather.
