The Denver Broncos Foundation (DBF) has created an initiative to distribute free smart helmets to every high school tackle football program in Colorado.

The Denver Broncos have made an unprecedented gesture in support of high-school football throughout Colorado. The Broncos, working with helmet manufacturer Riddell, have arranged for 15,516 Riddell Axiom helmets to be available to all 277 high-school football programs through the state.

Police officers in Denver arrested two suspects linked to a deadly shooting early Monday morning. Officers said they heard the shooting near 35th and Colorado Boulevard in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven just after midnight.
