The Monterey County Sheriff's Office arrested an 83-year-old man Sunday after an hours-long standoff at a home in Prunedale.

Frederick Pierce of Prunedale was arrested on multiple charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, resisting a peace officer and assault with a deadly weapon.
