Work requirements are being considered on a federal level in Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’. The package would require Medicaid recipients from ages 19 to 64 to verify that they work at least 80 hours a month, or are training for a new job, studying or volunteering. People’s work status would be checked twice a year.
