AUTO RACING: NASCAR moves to Atlanta after William Byron’s second Daytona 500 win
Last year: Daniel Suarez edged Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch in a three-wide finish. There were 10 cautions and an Atlanta-record 47 lead changes, alongside a pileup of at least 16 cars, the biggest in the history of Atlanta Motor Speedway. Daytona 500 sees highest total of cars involved in crashes in that race since 2019
Sunday’s Daytona saw the most cars involved in crashes in that event since the 2019 race and ended a Daytona Speedweeks that saw nearly 100 vehicles in the Cup, Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series involved in accidents.
NASCAR Announces 'Big Penalty' After The Daytona 500
