By Max Hunder KYIV (Reuters) -Starlink systems used by Ukrainian military units were down for two and a half hours overnight, a senior commander said, part of a global issue that disrupted the satellite internet provider.

A sudden silence fell over the digital world as Starlink users found themselves disconnected, sparking frustration and concern across the globe.

A brief outage of Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite internet service, impacted Ukraine’s front line military communications, just hours after Russian drones hit the city of Kharkiv. CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh reports from Kyiv.
