Friday night will be the last time this arctic blast that temperatures plunge to freezing levels. But a Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Wilson and Gonzales counties until 9 a.m. Saturday, due to a possibility for freezing rain in the nighttime and overnight hours.

Light freezing rain is back in the forecast beginning Friday night for portions of the Hill Country and the I-35 corridor, north of San Antonio. Any ice accumulations were expected to be at a tenth of an inch or well below.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of Central and South Texas, including San Antonio, the National Weather Service announced Friday afternoon. The advisory will go into effect at 6 p.
