One of the biggest issues that any Airbnb user has likely run into on the platform over the last few years is the often exorbitant surcharges, including so-called “cleaning fees” that often get tacked onto the cost of a stay.

Airbnb will now display how much you’ll pay for a stay – cleaning fees and all – as soon as you start your search. The update, which is rolling out globally, means you’ll see the total cost of a reservation (excluding taxes) before you reach the checkout page.
