Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian offered a review of how Arch Manning performed in the team's first fall scrimmage on Saturday.

The playbook is open for Arch Manning as he takes over the Texas football offense, Steve Sarkisian said Tuesday. After coaching Manning through two starts in 2024 and spending more than 30 months teaching him the scheme, Sarkisian feels comfortable opening the volume cover-to-cover when Manning steps under center against Ohio State on Aug. 30.

The Texas Longhorns will open the 2025 football season in front of a packed Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium, as every ticket for the home slate is officially gone. The program’s official account called it “the hottest ticket in town” when announcing the sellout, a sign of the anticipation building in Austin.
