Under the bill, sheriff's offices in counties with a population of over 100,000 would have to help ICE identify people who are here illegally and remove them.

The Texas Senate passed a bill requiring local law enforcement to help with federal deportation efforts. Sheriffs for counties with more than 100,000 people would be required to enter an agreement with ICE.
